Monroe, 31, officially became an unrestricted free agent after playing for the G League team, Capital Go-Go, an affiliate of the Washington Wizards.



The seasoned veteran played well for Bryant Munich in the European 2019-2020 season before joining the Moscow Khimki basketball team until the end of January 2021. Monroe returned to the league after two seasons in the Euroleague in 2019, playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Washington Wizards in 2021.


Monroe also played for the Detroit Pistons, Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns and Philadelphia 76ers before heading to Europe. As of now, Monroe has participated in 642 league games, averaging 13.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.6 blocks per 27.5 minutes per game, while shooting 51.4%.



In 2012, he averaged 16.0 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting 48.6 percent for the Pistons. Monroe averaged 15.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game for the Bucks in 2014, which was his best season in the league. He is expected to appear in Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers when he returns to the game.
