Former Everton midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov has been called up by the Russian authorities despite being over the age limit.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a local military mobilization order on the 21st to recruit 300,000 more troops for the Russian-Ukrainian war. All reservists under the age of 35 who have served in the army and have professional experience are included in this call. According to Russian media sports.ru, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov did not meet the call-up conditions but still received a notice of enlistment.

"Diniyar did receive a summons from the army," his father Renate confirmed to sports.ru. "Although he did military service, that was 19 years ago! And it's still competitive, Service completed in the team. Not to mention that he is over 35 years old, which is not consistent with the draft age stipulated by the Department of Defense.”

"During his service, he played sports. I don't know if he has the relevant professional experience."
