Gresik - The Gresik Regent's Cup and the return of Gresik United to League 2 this year have had a positive impact on the football atmosphere in Gresik Regency. Now the small clubs around the city of Gresik are running again.

One of the previously suspended clubs that is now back in vigor is Bopa FC from Padeg Village, Cerme District. After years of hiatus, the club wants to exist again in the Gresik football scene.

Greget Bopa FC was shown when he participated in the trophy event at the Gelora Joko Samudro (Gejos) Gresik Stadium, Saturday (16/4/2022) night.

"This is our first moment to play as a full team after we had been away for years. Hopefully this will be a good start for our team," said Taufan Aditya Pradana, manager of Bopa FC.

In this trophy event, Bopa FC brought two teams at once, namely the senior team and the U-23 team. Besides being followed by Bopa FC this trophy was also followed by Popel FC and Infinity FC.

"We brought around 30 players who were divided into two teams, namely the senior team and the U-23 team," he said.

Taufan continued that he deliberately involved his team in participating in this trophy event so that his players would have experience on the field and with quality opponents.

"From this trophy, the players are more motivated and gain experience competing with tough teams," said Taufan.

He also hopes that with the return of Bopa FC, in the future he can contribute to the progress of football in Gresik.
