Ahead of Tottenham Vs Newcastle, Conte Praises Eddie Howe
4/4/2022, 19:43LONDON - Tottenham Hotspur coach Antonio Conte praised Newcastle United coach Eddie How ahead of the meeting of the two teams in the 31st week of the Premier League at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, Sunday (3/4).
Quoted from the club's official website, Conte said that currently Newcastle United are a different team since the arrival of Eddie Howe in November last year.
Conte added that Howe is a young coach who has a clear view of football and how he applies his tactics to Newcastle United at the moment.
"I know the coach well. He is very good and does a great job. I knew him when he was at Bournemouth, he was young but his thoughts on football were very clear," Conte said.
The Italian coach said the January transfer window helped Newcastle United to rise from adversity after being stuck in the Premier League relegation zone for some time.
Conte considers Newcastle United with Eddie Howe to have brought in important players and Tottenham must pay special attention to this team in the match later.
"You know very well in England, there are no easy games. I ask the fans, like the previous games, to help us from start to finish, to support us and to create a great atmosphere throughout the game, because we need them to try and get three. points," Conte said.
Conte asked his team to view the remaining Premier League matches including facing Newcastle as a final because getting points in the current situation is important.
"I think that now, we found the right balance, and you well what I always say, to be an important team, we have to be stable," Conte explained.
"We are trying to do this, and I see developments in my team. But of course, we have to continue to work hard to increase our level," he continued.
