Artat: Aubameyang departure won't stop Arsenal in interview
2022-12-22 15:11Arsenal coach Artat was interviewed by the media. When the host mentioned Aubameyang, Artat said that some people thought that Aubameyang's departure prevented Arsenal from progressing, but in fact it did not.
Aubameyang stayed in Artat's Arsenal for more than a year and won the FA Cup together. Aubameyang contributed a lot and became the captain. But Aubameyang violated the rules many times, so the club deprived him of his captaincy.
Asked about his decision to release Aubameyang , Arteta said: "First of all, I didn't take that decision, we took that decision as a club. Obviously, it was my suggestion and I think we What needs to be done to get what we want.”
"But I don't want to single out one player, I think it's a couple of players. It's part of the strategy that we're trying to build. When you're in the process and you want to go faster, someone is going to pull the boat back. , to put pressure on it to hinder the process. I'm sorry but we wanted to go faster, we didn't have the time, whether it was players or staff, someone was sabotaging the club, so we took this decision."
Arsenal ended their contract with Aubameyang in February, with Arteta stressing that Aubameyang is not the only player he believes is limiting Arsenal's progress.
When the host asked Arteta his feelings since he became the coach, Arteta bluntly said that the most important people to him are his wife and family, because he can fully open his heart to his family. The second is the coaching staff. They are very important, they can make Artat feel what is happening, and they will try their best to help him. In the end there is the club, which Artat believes knows him and what he needs.
At present, Artat also said that he has developed a plan for different stages of the club: "I have a very clear plan, I have developed a plan for the club in 5 different stages, and we have compared it with other teams in these 5 stages. My timeline will show all the things we have to accomplish at each stage."
