AS Roma loan Lucas Torreira from Arsenal
8/22/2021, 09:13 ROME - The team from the Italian capital, AS Roma is reportedly interested in Arsenal's energetic midfielder Lucas Torreira.
The Uruguayan footballer has become a target for Roma after spending last season on loan at Spanish team Atletico Madrid.
Italian media quoted by Tribal Football, Friday (20/8) reported that Torreira's representative, Pablo Bentancur was in London today for a meeting with Arsenal directors.
The player is also said to have no interest in staying in North London, and is looking for a new club that can guarantee playing time.
With a contract until June 2023, Torreira has now received interest from Italian club Roma and the Giallorossi have submitted a loan proposal with an option to buy at the end of the 2021/2022 season.
Torreira left Sampdoria in 2018 to join Arsenal in a deal worth 28 million euros.
