YOGYAKARTA -- Francisco Torres has scored seven goals and is currently leading the goals for Borneo FC in the 2021/2022 Liga 1 Competition. The Brazilian passport striker is expected to be able to keep breaking into the opponent's goal.

Borneo FC assistant coach Ahmad Amiruddin said his team really needed Torres. This is evident from the striker's personal achievements so far with a collection of seven goals plus one assist.

"Torres is a foreign player and of course plays a big role for Borneo FC. Including in terms of scoring goals. That's his duty as a striker," said Amir, as he is known, Sunday (5/12).

However, Amir reminded that Torres can also prioritize team targets rather than personal matters. Because victory must be prioritized so that the positive trend of Borneo FC so far is maintained.

"If the motivation to score a goal is to give victory, then it doesn't matter. Just don't be selfish in executing opportunities. All players must support each other," added Amir.

Amir said, the team's focus at this time is trying to maintain the performance graph. That is to continue the four consecutive wins achieved.

On paper, the next match against Persiraja Banda Aceh (5/12) will be easy. However, Amir is reluctant to underestimate the opponent who is currently the caretaker team.
