Borneo Ingin Pertahankan Tren Positif Lawan Persela

Borneo FC won two consecutive wins over PSIS Semarang and Persipura Jayapura.

BANDUNG -- Borneo FC will face Persela Lamongan in the 12021/2022 League continuation at Sultan Agung Stadium, Bantul, Tuesday (23/11). In this match, Borneo set full points over Persela.

Borneo FC coach Risto Vidakovic said his team was ready to face Persela. He wants Pesut Etam to maintain a positive trend by continuing to win. Previously, Borneo FC won two consecutive wins over PSIS Semarang and Persipura Jayapura.

"We are ready to face Persela. We have prepared some tactics. We want to continue the positive trend from last week and want to keep getting good results," Risto said in a press conference ahead of the match, Monday (22/11).

But Risto admits this match will be difficult. Borneo will play without its three players, Nuriddin Davronov, Dimas Abdul Hadi, and Marcho Sandy who are absent due to being called up by the national team.

"There are no easy matches in Liga 1, all teams have the same strength. Everyone works hard and everyone wants to win, but we have to prepare and focus on tomorrow's match," said Risto.

For that, Risto ensured that there would be a rotation of players in his team. He said whoever was sent down would answer his trust by playing as much as possible for the team's victory.

But apart from the problem of absent players, continued Risto, the team was faced with psychological problems. He acknowledged that there was pressure from the competition with the semi-bubble system.

"It's difficult to play because the players have to be ready. It's hard for us to play five times and we have to stay at the hotel. If we are home away we can go home. We have to be strong from a psychological point of view, we know that players are under a lot of pressure with so many matches," said Risto.

Borneo FC is in 10th place with 16 points, while Persela is in 14th place with 12 points.
