Bournemouth knock Burnley out of FA Cup with a 2-0 victory to reach quarterfinals


The Premier League side Burnley hosted the Championship side Bournemouth in the fifth round of the FA Cup, and finally suffering a 2-0 defeat to the second-tier team.


Bournemouth threatened Burnley's goal firstly in the 10th minute of the game,  Junior Stanislas attempted a long-range shot from outside the box, but misses to the left.


After that, the Bournemouth caused plenty problems for Burnley by constantly attacking and took the lead in the 21st minute, when Sam Surridge scored from close range after a low ball across from Jack Stacey.


The Clarets created little but Jay Rodriguez should have brought them level in the 56th minute when he  a glorious chance, scooping the ball over the bar from close range.


Burnley had a chance to equalize the score in the 56th minute, but Jay Rodriguez missed it after he took a shot from the centre of the box is too high. 


Stanislas seal the 2-0 victory before two minutes from the end, with a well-taken penalty after Kevin Long brought down Surridge in the box, and send the side into the quarter-finals.
