LONDON - England's young national team player, Bukayo Saka, said the support from the fans made him more enthusiastic while forgetting the racist remarks he received after the Euro 2020 final, July 2021. Saka appeared in the 2022 World Cup qualifying match against Andorra, last Sunday (5/9).

It was his first match after England lost to Italy in the Euro 2020 final. Saka, Jadon Sancho, and Marcus Rasfhord failed to execute a penalty so Italy came out as champion. However, the three players actually became the target of racist remarks from some people.

Now, the Arsenal player is trying to get up after getting the support of people who believe he has the competence to defend the Three Lions squad. This 20-year-old player also proved it by being one of the goalscorers in the 4-0 win against Andorra.

The match against Andorra also coincided with his birthday. According to Saka, the match plus scoring a goal is a moment that will not be forgotten.

"This is the perfect birthday present for me," said Saka as reported by Sky Sports , Tuesday (7/5).

Saka said he was happy with the support he received from the fans. This is one proof that he still has the public's trust to continue to defend his country on the international stage.

"This made me different. I can now hear the fans singing my name and it means a lot. It makes me believe that everyone supports me in a different way," explained Saka.
