Called again by the national team, this is the expression of Ezra Walian's heart
11/12/2021, 14:06 JAKARTA - Indonesian national team striker, Ezra Walian admitted that he was very happy to be able to train again with the Indonesian national team. This he said after undergoing training at Field B Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (10/11).
The last time he played for the Indonesian national team was at the 2017 SEA Games under coach Luis Milla. Waiting for more than 4 years, finally he can return to defend the Red and White banner and get a chance from coach Shin Tae-yong.
“I enjoy good mid-training. It's my first time meeting coach Shin tae-yong and he looks really good. It's great, like I said, I'm happy to be here, enjoying every moment. So my first impression was very pleasant," said Ezra Walian, quoted from the official PSSI website, Thursday (11/11).
Ezra Walian will fly with the Indonesian national team to Turkey to undergo a training camp and face two test matches against Afghanistan (16/11) and Myanmar (25/11). He is also included in the projected squad that will be taken to the 2020 AFF Cup which will play in December in Singapore.
"I played a lot with Persib and I just got a call back to the national team. So there was no special preparation, only from practicing and competing with Persib. I am determined to give the best for the Indonesian national team," he added.
Ezra Walian was one of two naturalized players who were called by Shin Tae-yong to the Indonesian national team. One other name is his colleague at Persib Bandung, Victor Igbonefo.
