The Cleveland Cavaliers announced a piece of good news today. Center Jarrett Allen, who missed 19 games with a broken left finger, returned to the Cavaliers' starting lineup today and competed for the final playoff ticket in the Eastern Conference.

Allen participated in the 2017 NBA draft and was selected by the Brooklyn Nets with the 22nd overall pick in the first round. After playing for the Nets for 3 seasons, he was traded from the Nets to the Cavaliers last season.

Allen has not played for the Cavaliers this season since getting injured on March 7. Allen's strengths are defensive mid lane, where he blocks shots and rebounds on the court, and Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff had to adjust his starting several times during his absence. Lineups and rotations are arranged to make up for his absence on the court.

Allen participated in 56 regular-season games this season, averaging 16.1 points, 10.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.3 blocks per 32.3 minutes per game while shooting 67.7 percent from the field.
