Ceballos Target, Become Real Madrid's Core Player Next Season
7/10/2021, 11:13 MADRID -- Dani Ceballos has already made his choice for next season. He is ready to return to Real Madrid.
In the last two years, Ceballos has been on loan at Arsenal. He was in uniform for the Gunners in 77 games in various competitions and scored two goals.
But Ceballos was reluctant to continue his adventure at the Emirates Stadium. The target is to become champions at El Real.
"I will fight to stay here," Ceballos said as quoted by Football Espana , Saturday (10/7).
The Real Betis academy dropout felt he had gained valuable experience at the London Cannon. He was grateful for that.
Ceballos realized it was not easy for him to break into the starting Real Madrid. In recent years, there have been three names that have always been a mainstay in the Los Blancos midfield.
Those players are Casemiro, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. This fact makes the other midfielders act more as a coating.
Martin Odegaard has also returned to the white. Obviously, Ceballos faces stiff competition. "I want to play and I have to get it on the pitch, and make it difficult for the coach," he said.
Ceballos failed to become the main player for Real Madrid in the Zinedine Zidane era. Now El Real is no longer working with Zidane. There is Carlo Ancelotti as the new coach of the Whites.
Last season, El Real failed miserably. Karim Benzema and fellow non-titles.
The injury factor also affected the decline in Los Blancos' performance. The presence of Ceballos can add quality in the midfield of the Spanish giants.
