Chelsea ready with third bid for Lukaku
8/5/2021, 05:43 LONDON - Chelsea are reportedly preparing to make a third bid to sign Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku this summer.
The Blues have recently had two bids for the 28-year-old rejected by the Serie A champions, with their most recent offer valued at around £85m plus left-back Marcos Alonso.
According to Sky Sports News, Chelsea are determined to re-sign Lukaku and they believe that a third bid of between £94m and £102m could convince Inter to sell the striker.
Despite having sold right-back Achraf Hakimike from Paris Saint-Germain, Inter are still trying to sell players to reduce their salary bill.
It is understood Lukaku would welcome a return to Stamford Bridge but the Belgian will not force a transfer.
Lukaku, who left Chelsea permanently in 2014 when he moved to Everton, has had two successful years at the San Siro, scoring 64 goals and providing 19 assists in 95 appearances across all competitions.
