Christophe Galtier Soon Announced As PSG Coach, Signs Two-Year Contract
7/10/2022, 13:35PARIS -- Christophe Galtier has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in recent weeks to fill the coaching role. PSG is believed to be announcing Galtier as the new manager early next week.
The coach who brought Lille to win the French Ligue 1 for the 2020/21 season had visited the PSG facility yesterday. Quoted from Marca , Saturday (2/7/2022), his arrival to the Parc des Prince will be announced early next week.
He can undergo pre-season training on Monday (4/7/2022) local time, with several players having returned from their holidays. The French coach is rumored to be signing a two-year contract, with the possibility of an additional year.
The 55-year-old coach's presentation will likely be made at a press conference on Tuesday or Wednesday local time. However, an announcement by the club will be made earlier. He will also get a chance to get to know some of his players.
Although some of the national team players are still spending their time off, to compensate for the extra games they got at the start of June. Before announcing Galtier, PSG also had to officially release Mauricio Pochettino, who was reported to have been reluctant to leave Paris after agreeing to the compensation given by the club.
