Complete FA Cup Quarter-Final Schedule
2/21/2021, 04:03JAKARTA - Everton will challenge Manchester City in the FA Cup quarter-finals. Meanwhile, Leicester City against Manchester United based on the results of the draw which was held on Friday (12/2) in the morning WIB.
The draw was conducted online by FA after Southampton beat Wolverhampton 2-0 to advance to the quarter-finals. Southampton quite benefited because based on the results of the draw they will meet second caste team Bournemouth in the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, Sheffield United will face Chelsea. The Blues beat Barnsley 1-0 at home. Tammy Abraham's goal determined Chelsea's victory in that match.
The last meeting between Everton and City was in the 1980/81 FA Cup, also in the quarter-finals. At that time the two teams drew 2-2 at Goodison Park, so the replay had to be played at City headquarters and the hosts won 3-1.
Whereas the Leicester match against MU in the FA Cup last time took place in 1976 in the fifth round, when the Red Devils' troops won 2-1 at Leicester headquarters.
Meanwhile the Bournemouth vs Southampton meeting is much older, because the last time it happened was in the FA Cup in 1953 in the first round. Bournemouth at that time managed to get rid of Southampton after winning the replay with a score of 3-1.
