This assurance was obtained after the Coordination Meeting for the Implementation of Liga 1 which was attended by the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), the All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB), the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes), the Police, and the Covid-19 Task Force in Jakarta. "I just chaired a meeting for the 2022/2023 Liga 1 implementation. The PSSI Ketum was present, the National Police, LIB, Task Force, and the Ministry of Health were also present," said Menpora Zainudin Amalidi in Jakarta, Tuesday (19/7/2022).

According to the Minister of Youth and Sports, PT LIB delivered a presentation and received a response from the Ministry of Health and the Task Force. "Of course, the hope is better in the future. Even if there are things that must be addressed, we have a commitment, especially since we have invited spectators. In essence, at the meeting, the 2022/2023 competition could have started according to the PSSI and LIB plans," he explained.

PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan confirmed, from the results of the meeting, it was decided that the 2022/2023 League 1 could roll on as scheduled. In addition, in this competition, PSSI and LIB will return to using normal regulations, namely there are no rules for conducting PCR tests before matches and spectators are also allowed to attend the stadium.

"We have formulated that Liga 1 will run from July 23 to April. This recommendation will later be issued by the National Police to issue a general crowd permit. The audience will also be adjusted to the PPKM level, such as the President's Cup," said Iriawan.
