Cristiano Ronald hints at staying at Juventus
7/22/2021, 15:10 TURIN -- Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly not going to leave for another club in the 2021 summer transfer market. He hints at staying in the city of Turin for at least the upcoming 2021/22 season.
The 36-year-old will also be serving his final year of work under the Bianconeri. This confirms that Ronaldo will not join Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Manchester United (MU) as was touted.
In La Gazzetta dello Sport 's report quoted by Sports Mole, Wednesday (21/7), Ronaldo himself made the decision to stay at Juventus for one more season and will think about his future again next year.
On the one hand, Juventus inevitably have to pay the salary of Ronaldo, who is the highest-paid player at the club. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, this is said to be tough for Juventus.
Ronaldo receives at least £46.7 million annually from Juventus coffers. However, Juventus remains confident that they plan to discuss a contract extension with the Portuguese player.
Since joining Juventus in 2018, Ronaldo has recorded 133 games for Juventus. He scored 101 goals and 22 assists during his three-year career in Italian football.
