Cunha says no pressure over £43m transfer fee

Mateus Cunha insisted he did not feel pressured to become Wolves' record-breaking £43million signing when reporters brought up the transfer fee.

Cunha was a player who was loaned to Wolves from Atletico Madrid in January. However, Wolves decided to buy out Cunha for 43 million pounds, setting a record for the highest transfer fee signed by Wolves . The transfer fee already exceeds the £38m Wolves will pay for Mathews Nunes in 2022.

Cunha said frankly that football is stress-free: "To be honest, football has never been stressful. Football is emotional for people and I am focused because it is my job. I think when a father has no money to help the family It's the pressure. For me, football is joy and I enjoy every game with focus."

Wolves coach Lopetegui arranged Cunha as a center forward, but some fans think Cunha is more suitable as a striker. Cunha said that he has no preference for any position, and believes that the most important thing is to help the team. Wherever the manager wants Cunha to play, he will be ready. Cunha said he wants to be able to play, that is the most important thing.

When a reporter asked about his opinion on the Wolves, Cunha said: "I am very satisfied with this transfer, and I am also very happy to work with them. I am very satisfied with my teammates."
