Detained by Napoli, Allegri says Juventus must continue to improve
1/9/2022, 01:09TURIN - Juventus coach Masimilliano Allegri said his team had a difficult match versus Napoli. He also thinks that the Bianconeri should make changes to continue to develop this season.
The Juventus-Napoli party in the 20th week of the Italian Serie ALiga 2021/2022 ended with a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Stadium, Turin, Friday (7/1/2022) early morning WIB.
Allegri was very sorry because Juve had many chances to score. The Old Lady's performance is an important note that must be improved to be able to compete again for the Scudetto.
"Games after the break are always complicated, this one even more so that we have to focus," Allegri told DAZN, quoted by Football Italia, Friday.
Juventus recorded 22 shots towards the Napoli goal. But they were only able to score one goal through Federico Chiesa at the start of the second half.
"We should have scored more goals. We have to look at this positively and we are starting to lead to a good performance," continued Allegri.
This result makes Juventus stuck in fifth place in the standings with 35 points from 20 matches. Meanwhile, Napoli are in third place with 40 points.
Leonardo Bonucci and his teammates will undergo a fierce duel in the next two matches. Facing AS Roma in week 21 before meeting Inter Milan in the Italian Supercoppa.
