Elkann: Allegri will continue as Juventus coach

John Elkann, head of Juventus holding company Exor, said on Tuesday that the change at the top of Juventus will not shake the position of Allegri, who will continue to serve as the team coach.

Elkann's statement

" Massimiliano Allegri remains a big reference point for Juventus in the sporting field," said Elkann. "We want him and the team to continue to win and reach our goals on the pitch, as they have shown in recent days."

While confirming that Allegri is in charge, John Elkann also looks forward to the future with optimism: "Our history tells of victory, which gives us the strength we need at this moment. With the support of fans With support and love, we will have the opportunity to build an extraordinary future."

Allegri's response

For Elkann's support, Juventus coach Allegri then expressed his heartfelt thanks in a statement. "I'm in a very positive mood for the closeness of our shareholders. So I thank John Elkann for his words," he said.

Allegri also highlighted the contribution of Andrea Agnelli: "Our work, passion and victories over the years have always been inseparable from the support of Andrea Agnelli. I have a great relationship with him. A bond of friendship, our relationship will not be broken by the end of his presidency."

"Andrea and Johan are iconic figures at Juventus and we have to focus on the day-to-day work on the pitch to achieve the results we are striving for."

Juventus have had an unsatisfactory start to the season, and Allegri is therefore under tremendous pressure. In the Champions League, Juventus only accumulated 3 points and recorded 1 victory after 6 rounds of group matches, and missed the knockout round for the first time since the 2013/14 season.

In Serie A, Juventus once ranked 8th, and gradually recovered until the middle of October. At present, they have recorded 31 points with 9 wins, 4 draws and 2 losses, ranking third in the standings.
