Enzo Maresca is in charge of developing Manchester City's youth squad

MANCHESTER - Manchester City have acquired Enzo Maresca to become the number two man and will help head coach Pep Guardiola work this season.


The 42-year-old coach is in charge of developing Manchester City's youth squad Age-23 in 2020.

A deal has now been agreed for Maresca, who has a fantastic reputation in Europe, to return to the Etihad, according to the Daily Mail.

The Italian left City to manage Parma in 2021 but lost his job last November.

Maresaca enjoyed a playing career with stints at West Bromwich Albion, Juventus and Sevilla.

With Juventus, he won the league title in 2002. In 2004, he played one season with Fiorentina.

He then continued his career in La Liga with Sevilla for four years and then Málaga, at the two clubs he appeared in 134 games and scored 17 goals in La Liga while winning five major titles with Sevilla.
