MANCHESTER -- Manchester United have finally completed the signing of Christian Eriksen. The Denmark international signed a three-year contract.

Eriksen's move is a reunion with Ten Hag, who helped facilitate the midfielder's return from the heart problem he suffered at Euro 2020. After his health condition stabilized, Ten Hag invited Eriksen to train with Ajax during the rehabilitation process.

United are also quite patient in getting the former Tottenham Hotspur player, and did not put pressure on Eriksen to make a decision immediately. MU understands that his decision to choose a new club is more than just football reasons. Eriksen is quite comfortable in London with his family in Brentford. However, he is attracted by the prospect of working under the Ten Hag and becoming a part of the new era of the Crimson Demons.

The presence of the 30-year-old strengthens Erik ten Hag's midfield options at Old Trafford, having refused to stay at Brentford.

Eriksen got his game back after a long absence while on loan at Brentford, having been released by Inter Milan last season. However, Eriksen will not be joining MU's pre-season tour of Australia due to a fairly long flight from England.
