Even though he lost, Aji Santoso still appreciates Persebaya's game
9/27/2021, 08:42BANDUNG -- Persebaya Surabaya must acknowledge the strength of Bhayangkara FC. The 0-1 score for Bhayangkara's victory brought Persebaya down to 15th position in the standings. Bajul Ijo has only collected three points from the four 12021/2022 League matches that have been undertaken.
Persebaya coach Aji Santos still appreciated the team's performance in the match which took place at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, Friday (24/9). According to him, Persebaya's game is getting better in this match.
"It was quite an interesting match. Even though Persebaya still hasn't won, I can see that the struggle of all the players has been maximized. This is football, sometimes we play according to expectations but the results don't match," said Aji after the match.
Aji said the game between the two teams that night was very entertaining. According to him, Persebaya performed quite well compared to the previous matches.
"Indeed, we conceded also through set pieces. I was just anticipating before the game, Bhayangkara players are good and don't commit violations. It turns out that the violation was once and became a goal," said Aji.
Aji was reluctant to comment much on the red card given by the referee to Rizky Ridho at the last second of the match. He said the players, especially Ridho, should have been more careful because they had already received a yellow card before.
"It was a 50-50 ball. Ridho should have been more careful because he got his first yellow card. That's probably the last-minute condition, a violation due to lack of focus," said Aji.
Persebaya will return to compete on Wednesday (29/9) night. PSS Sleman will be the opponent of Bajul Ijo.
