Fabrizio Romano categorically labels Thiago Alcântara, Roberto Firmino and Anderson Talisca

Renowned Italian transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano of Sky Sports, reported through his personal official Twitter account three times in a row on Thursday, that all rumours about the three Brazilian descent players, Thiago Alcântara, Roberto Firmino and Anderson Talisca's seemingly "confirmed" free transfers to Fenerbahçe, Galatasary and Beşiktaş respectively were all fake news.

Romano pointed out that Thiago and Firmino are currently not concerned about their contract issues at all, but are fully focused on helping Liverpool overcome their difficult season to achieve qualification to the Champions League next season, hence all the rumours which have suggested the duo have decided to leave the Reds are simply not true.

In addition, Romano also said that Talisca and the new marquee signing Cristiano Ronaldo are working hard to try and help Al Nassr win some championships, and he also had a very happy time there, so Talisca has no plans to leave the club at this moment.

Not only that, Romano also added that the contracts of Thiago and Talisca with Liverpool and Al Nassr respectively still have one-year to run. Therefore news which claimed that the Spain international midfielder and Brazil international attacking midfielder will leave their clubs to join Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray respectively after their contract expire this summer can be concluded as fake news fabricated by reporters.

Earlier, online media The Athletic's renowned resident Liverpool team correspondent James Pearce revealed that although Firmino's contract is about to expire this summer, Liverpool has planned to offer the Brazil international center forward a short-term contract, and this contract renewal negotiation will also be carried out after the end of this season. As such news of him having already agreed to move to Beşiktaş doesn't make sense at this moment.

In addition, Neil Jones, renowned Liverpool team correspondent of GOAL also revealed that since the Reds has a very a light midfield option, although they are planning to bring in likes of Jude Bellingham, Matheus Nunes and even Daichi Kamada during the upcoming summer transfer window, because Thiago has always been the most outstanding player in the squad, the possibility of head coach Jürgen Klopp renewing his contract is very high.

The 31-year-old Thiago Alcântara has been the greateest and most consistent player in the Reds midfield department since he joined Liverpool from Bayern Munich for €20 million at the end of September 2020.

Roberto Firmino, who is of the same age joined Liverpool from Hoffenheim for £45 million in July 2015. He was originally an attacking midfielder, but under Klopp's guidance and training, he has gradually retrained into a world-class center forward.

Thiago and Firmino have so far won the Carabao Cup, FA Cup and English Community Shield with the Premier League giants, and the latter has also won the Premier League, Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup with Liverpool.

The 29-year-old Anderson Talisca joined Guangzhou in the summer of 2018 with a loan with an obligation to buy basis after starring for Benfica and Beşiktaş in his early career.

Although he won the Chinese Super League once with the club, after the Chinese Football Association issued a salary limit order for the league in 2021, Talisca moved to Al Nassr for US$9.5 million in July of the same year.

Talisca, who has been the club's top scorer since joining the Saudi Pro League giants, played 49 times for Al Nassr across all competitions, scoring 36 goals and assisting 4 times.

It is worth noting that whether Thiago, Firmino or Talisca, the rumours of the three of them leaving the club actually originated from a Turkish Twitter user, Umit Erol who claimed to be a reporter from the Turkish online media Sporundibi.

Upon research, Sporundibi is actually a terrible online news aggregator who loves to link every single player all around the world with transfer rumours to Turkish Süper Lig clubs without having any verification.

From Jesse Lingard to İlkay Gündoğan, and even Kevin De Bruyne, as long as players who Erol could think of, he will always link their names together with the three local Turkish giants of Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray or Beşiktaş.
