'False report' - GFA confirms jerseys have arrived in Doha

Ghana Football Association Secretary-General Prosper Harrison Addo tweeted today that reports that the Ghanaian football jersey was left behind in the country are false. "Please, there's nothing wrong with the Black Stars jersey," he said.

Prosper Harrison Addo's remarks are in response to false rumors on social networks: a message released by Cameroon sports reporter Marc Leonel Chouamo has been posted on social media in the past two days Widely circulated, prompting many media to rush to report. Chouamo revealed at the time that the Ghanaian team leader accidentally left the jerseys of the whole team in the country on the eve of the World Cup, so that the players may face the dilemma of having no jerseys to wear in the first game.

Prosper later clarified that Ghana's jersey supplier PUMA has sent all the team's equipment - including jerseys - to Doha as planned. "At this stage, teams are using some of these kits in training," he added.

Prosper also appealed to the media in his statement, imploring them not to distract the Ghana team and let the players "focus on the upcoming games."

Ghana is in Group H of this World Cup, with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea as their opponents. According to the schedule, they will start their World Cup journey against Portugal on November 24, and then challenge South Korea (28) and Uruguay (December 2) within 8 days.
