Fans pay tribute to Messi portrait on cornfield

An Argentine farmer has printed Lionel Messi's face on a cornfield as a tribute to Messi's World Cup triumph with Argentina.

The farmer, Maximiliano Spinazza, a diehard fan, planted seeds on his fields in the province of Córdoba with an algorithm that calculated where the seeds needed to be planted so that the corn would grow Messi's face. The picture must be shot from the air in order to perfectly show the original appearance. Argentina is a soccer-loving South American country that is primarily agricultural and the world's third-largest exporter of corn.

"For me, Messi is invincible. Now he is world champion and I am happy to express that by growing crops," Spinazza said in an interview.

However, this work was not done by Spinazza alone, with the help of agricultural engineer Faricelli. Faricelli first programmed the computer so that the machine would know exactly where and how many seeds to place, ensuring that Messi's face would not lose its shape. Faricelli's willingness to help is also because of his tribute to Messi. He also said that he would be happy to help farmers who are willing to plant images of Messi.

Since Argentina won the World Cup in Qatar, there have been many crazy tributes from fans everywhere. For example, a Dominican fan shaved the back of his head to look like Messi. And another fan from Colombia tattooed Messi's name on his forehead and three stars on his face.
