BANDUNG -- Persib Bandung held a test match against PersibU-20 at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung City, Saturday (28/8). Persib senior won a landslide victory by scoring 21 goals without reply.

Persib coach, Robert Rene Alberts, admitted that he used the club's junior team to hold two test matches. He said his team continues to have rapid development.

"I can't count how many months ago they played against other teams. So it's great that we can come back together and play against two teams because all the players played for 90 minutes," said Robert after the friendly match.

Robert said he was worried that his team was not used to playing full time. He gave an example of how Bali United's inaugural match against Persik Kediri was on Friday (27/8) when the players fell due to cramps and injuries.

"That's a situation that could have happened to us because we haven't played for a long time and the preparation isn't ideal. But we have to play in the league, so when we have the opportunity to do that, we're happy to do it," said Robert.

Unfortunately, Robert admits his players are not yet at their best. According to this Dutch coach, Maung Bandung's squad has not looked like the competition the previous season.

"So I'm curious about our observations such as heart rate and distance traveled from the equipment we have. But everything looks positive, earlier the players seemed to enjoy, there was a good movement, there were also beautiful goals that were created," said Robert.

But in that match there was no Geoffrey Castillion in the striker position. Robert argued, Geoffrey was not ready to be deployed in the team because he had felt an injury to his knee. But fortunately, other players are ready to be revealed in the competition later.

"Players who are fielded in the game are players who are projected to play in the league, without Geoffrey (due to injury)," explained Robert.
