Fonseca Refuses to Resign from AS Roma's Chair
5/10/2021, 15:42 ROME - AS Roma coach, Paulo Fonseca, was reported by a number of media in Italy that he refused to resign as reported by Football Italia , Tuesday (4/5). There are four interim coaches who are ready to replace his position if Roma suffered a crushing defeat to Manchester United (MU) in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final on Friday (7/5) WIB.

The former Juventus coach, Maurizio Sarri, is the main candidate for Roma's new coach next season. According to Il Corriere dello Sport , there is likely to be a decisive meeting in the coming weeks to finalize a deal with Sarri.
And the media also revealed Sarri respects the existing Roma team. He only needs four new summer players to coach Roma.
However, Tottenham Hotspur is also in talks with Sarri. The Lilywhite are looking for a coach after sacking Jose Mourinho.
