For the sake of bringing Declan Rice, Manchester United are ready to break the transfer record
4/8/2022, 18:02MANCHESTER - Manchester United (MU) is reportedly ready to pay more than £90 million or equivalent to Rp. 1.7 trillion to be able to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice.
The Premier League giants are expected to undergo a squad overhaul in the summer, helped by a number of players whose contracts are running out.
Whoever replaces interim manager Ralf Rangnick, most likely Erik ten Hag, can focus on signing at least two new central midfielders.
Citing reports 90Min, Friday (8/4), United are reportedly determined for one of the players to be Rice, despite Hammers manager David Moyes suggesting that the England international is worth £150m.
The report claims that United are poised to break the club record £89.3 million they spent on Paul Pogba in 2016.
The East London club are thought to be considering a sale if they submit a proposal worth 120 million, a figure that may also tempt Manchester City and Chelsea.
With West Ham having the option to extend Rice's contract by 12 months, the academy graduate effectively has just over three years left on his existing contract.
