LONDON -- Former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paul Robinson says those who gave advice to Harry Kane had done a bad job.

Kane expressed his desire to find a new club earlier this summer. Kane wants Tottenham to sell him.

Manchester City is the club that the England captain is interested in. Kane even missed a week's training schedule although after that he again stated that he wanted to train.

"I think the way he behaves and how he was given bad advice, or did he make this decision alone, it would not be a good sign for him," said Robinson, quoted Tribalfootball, Thursday (12/8).

Robinson says Kane is highly respected by Tottenham fans around the world. Therefore if he leaves in the current manner it will tarnish the legacy that has been given to the club over the years.

"The more you read it, the more quotes that come out now, the more we learn about it. The manager was talking about it a few days ago and Harry Kane was quick to suggest there's more on his Twitter feed," he said.

Kane is the sharpest striker in the Premier League in recent years. But he never lifted the trophy. That's why he wants to lift the trophy in his career. And Manchester City is considered a club that can realize its ambitions.

In recent weeks the issue of Kane's move to the Etihad has been widely heard. City coach Pep Guardiola also wants his services as a replacement for Sergio Aguero who left for Barcelona.
