NORWICH -- Frank Lampard's name was included in the list of candidates for the coach of Norwich City after the sacking of Daniel Farke some time ago.

Norwich are now at the bottom of the English Premier League standings, making the club's top brass uncomfortable. They finally terminated the contract of Farke who had served for four years and twice brought Norwich to the English Premier League.

Lampard, who had coached Chelsea, was deemed worthy of dealing with Norwich in order to stay in the English Premier League. Club officials do not want the Cannaries to return to ground in the Championship division after just being promoted this season.

In the Guardian report quoted by the Mirror , Tuesday (9/11), the Norwich camp has opened communication with Lampard about the possibility of managing the team. However, no definite decision has been made considering that discussions are still ongoing.

Lampard could more easily move to Norwich given that he has been unemployed since January 2021 when he was sacked by Chelsea and replaced by Thomas Tuchel.

Besides Lampard, Norwich are also considering other coaches who are still available. Dean Smith, who had just been sacked by Aston Villa, is also one of the candidates.

Not only that, Ralph Hassenhuttl's name was also included in the list. The problem is, Norwich must be able to persuade Ralph who is still Southampton coach.
