Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry hits out at reports claiming teammates Draymond Green and Jordan Poole physically clashed due to contract extension issues..

Popular Golden State Warriors correspondent Anthony Slater of The Athletic reported on his personal official Twitter on Friday that the team's star point guard, Stephen Curry has refuted reports which alleged that the physical altercation between his two teammates, Draymond Green and Jordan Poole during a training session a few days ago was due to contract extension issues.

According to the report, Curry made the aforementioned response when he was asked about his views on the main cause of the incident during a press conference at the Chase Center on Thursday evening local time.

Curry said that he believes that the reports which were currently circulating on the Internet are all nonsense. He said that Jordan Poole has always had a good attitude, there is no problem between him and the team, and from his own perspective, the conflict between the two sides is absolutely impossible to be related to this or contractual issues.

He added that although he deeply regrets the incident's happening and feels that the conflict can be avoided, he firmly believes that this scandal will not affect the Warriors' spirit of challenging for the championship ring again in the new season. In addition, he also firmly believes that the team will definitely handle the situation well.

On Wednesday (October 3, 2022), local time, Shams Charania, a well-known correspondent of The Athletic, released an exclusive report that Draymond Green and Poole had an argument in the team's training camp that morning. A physical altercation between the pair even broke out after the dispute in the arena, during which Green heavily attacked Poole, and the two even had to be separated by their teammates.
