Iniesta asks not to compare himself to Pedri
7/16/2021, 21:39 BARCELONA - Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta has urged fans not to compare him to Pedri. He insists Pedri should make up his own story.
"I never like to be compared, although it is inevitable. The same thing has happened to me, the important thing is that he continues to do what he is doing," Iniesta said .
Iniesta admits Pedri is a quality player. At the age of 18, of course Pedri will continue to grow and learn.
"He is at the right club and national team to continue to develop," said Iniesta.
On the other hand, Iniesta also celebrated Argentina's victory in the Copa America. He also appreciated Messi's hard work which finally brought this trophy to Argentina.
"I think personally the tournament was a burden on his shoulders. He finally won something with his national team after being so close so often," Iniesta said.
"He was perfect in the Copa America, beyond goals and assists. For me, Messi is still number one," Iniesta said.
