JAKARTA -- Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi admits the match against Juventus is important for his team. The two teams faced off in the Italian derby in the 31st week of the Italian Serie ALiga at the Allianz Stadium, Turin, Monday (4/4/2022) early morning WIB.

"This game is very important. This is our opportunity to send a message to ourselves and to other teams," said Inzaghi, quoted from the club's official website, Sunday (3/4/2022).

Inzaghi hopes Inter can get a positive result in this match with a good game and create many opportunities. He hopes it can be done by Inter even though in the last seven games they can only secure seven points.

Despite failing to gain points as expected, Inzaghi insists there are still nine matches to be played in the remainder of the season. "We are not satisfied with our points result, so we want a good result. There are still nine important games to play, and tomorrow's match is the most challenging," said Inzaghi.

Having an inconsistent performance in the last few matches, Inter is assessed by Inzaghi as currently undergoing difficult times after having recorded a good score at the end of last year. In that period Inter were able to win the Italian Super Cup by beating Juventus and ensuring themselves through to the last 16 of the Champions League. Inter are also likely to win the Italian League title.

"All the big teams go through difficult times. Our difficulties coincided with two games against Liverpool and I think it started with a derby," said the Italian coach.

Inter have a chance to move up to second place overtaking Napoli and keeping their distance from fourth-placed Juventus if they secure the three points from the Bianconeri on Wednesday. Currently, Inter are in third place in the Italian League standings with 60 points from 29 matches. The Nerazzurri are three points clear of Napoli in second place and three points from Juventus who are in fourth place.
