Jamie Carragher urges Jurgen Klopp to keep Roberto Firmino

Carragher feels Firmino will leave for free.

MERSEYSIDE -- Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher says Reds coach Jurgen Klopp should keep Roberto Firmino. The Brazil international's contract expires next summer and there has been no indication of a new contract offer.

Carragher feels Firmino will leave for free. According to Carragher Liverpool must make a decision, namely to sell him or keep him until next season. But his personal opinion will defend the player.

"I think Firmino will have a big role to play. Look, Nunez might take some time to adapt and he's playing in the Premier League. And it's not just about his ability, it's about coming to a different league," Carragher said.

Firmino will play a very important role this season. Carragher predicts Firmino will play well at the beginning of the season. Meanwhile, Darwin Nunez will start from the bench.

Firmino has been linked with a summer exit and Juventus have been linked with the player. But Carragher is not so sure about the Bianconeri's chances of signing Firmino.

"Obviously, we've spent a lot of money on a striker and Juventus played a 4-3-3, if I'm not mistaken, so I can't see Firmino playing wide or leaving. there will be a replacement," added Carragher. The link might be right, I don't know, but I'll keep it, he said.

Firmino is one of Liverpool's attacking trio along with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane who won the Champions League and English Premier League a few years ago. However he began to lose his place in the starters after the arrival of Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz.
