LIVERPOOL - Liverpool are reportedly ready to part with midfielder Naby Keitalan because there are no new contract talks between the two parties. Naby Keita's future at Anfield is uncertain as he enters the final year of his contract with the Anfield Gank.

Former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor believes the Reds management must find a way to immediately sell the Guinean footballer in the transfer window this summer. "Keita doesn't score many goals and is a bit wild in his game. He doesn't meet the price tag at all, I'm sure Liverpool will have to find a way to separate," Agbonlahor told Football Insider , reported by the Liverpool Echo , Thursday (16/6/2022).

Injuries have made Keita's career at Liverpool difficult. He failed to land a major role in midfield and it remains to be seen if the Reds will discuss a new contract with the 27-year-old.

Furthermore, the former England striker added that Liverpool had to bring in a new figure in midfield. Because, the departure of Keita and also Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain left Liverpool only three players. namely Henderson, Fabinho, and Thiago Alcantara.

"Henderson's first name has entered the age of 31, and he will not play much. While Thiago is often injured, and Fabinho is the only starter," continued Agbonlahor.

Keita was signed by Liverpool from German club RB Leipzig in 2018 for a fee of around £48 million. He has enjoyed a much better season, but Agbonlahor doesn't think the Guinean has lived up to his expectations since he arrived at the Red Merseyside side.
