LEEDS -- Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Joaquin Correa. Currently the Argentine striker is still costumed for Inter Milan.

Correa defended Inter since last summer. He performed in 36 matches in various competitions. During that period, he only scored six goals.

Initially, the Nerazzurri borrowed the striker from Lazio. But in the clause, there is an obligation to buy in the summer of this year. In order to make Correa's status permanent, La Beneamata spent 25 million euros.

Now Inter are open to the option of selling the Estudiantes academy dropout. The blue-black camp wants to balance the balance sheet. Something has to be sacrificed.

"According to the Gazzetta dello Sport , Leeds have identified Correa to replace Raphinha," read the report quoted by Sportsmole , Friday (15/7/2022).

Raphinha approached Barcelona. The Whites will get fresh funds from the sale of the Brazilian winger. The price is in the range of 58 million euros.

The money that comes in, can be played again. Including bringing in a replacement for the Selecao hero. Inter Milan is ready to negotiate.

Inter do not want to lose. La Beneamata only received offers of over 25 million euros. So it slightly exceeds the funds spent when buying the attacker from the Biancoceleste.

Previously, Leeds chased Club Brugge star, Charles De Ketelaere. The last name chose to move to AC Milan. The Peacocks camp could not remain silent. "Coach Jesse Marsch has turned his attention to Correa," added the report from Sportsmole.

Elland Road owners should be wary. Newcastle United and Arsenal are reportedly also interested in the 28-year-old footballer next month.
