MADRID - Real Madrid is trying to find a replacement for captain Sergio Ramos. One of the targets isbek VillarrealPau Torres.

Ramos is serving the last five months of his contract at the Bernabeu. He is free to negotiate with any foreign club for a move in the summer.

PSG are reportedly interested in signing the Spain international defender. Meanwhile, quoted from Sportskeeda , Thursday (18/2), Madrid is eyeing Papuan Torres as a potential replacement for Ramos next season.

Last month, Madrid started approaching Villarreal to ask about the availability of Pau Torres. But Villarreal's response was surprising, by charging his defender for 65 million euros, and asking Madrid to pay in full if he wanted to buy Torres.

Los Blancos are still negotiating to get a lower price. However, with the Spaniard's contract until 2024, Villarreal has no pressure to sell Torres.

Moreover, Madrid is currently experiencing a financial crisis, after being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Apart from Torres, there are David Alaba and Kounde to Koulibaly who are candidates for Ramos' replacement.
