Man United allow Ronaldo to leave, but...
2022-07-25 21:14MANCHESTER - Manchester United (MU) is reportedly starting to soften the attitude of Cristiano Ronaldo who wants to leave in order to appear in the Champions League next season. New reports emerged this weekend that United were willing to let Ronaldo go on one condition.
According to the Mirror , reported by ESPN , Monday (25/7/2022), Manchester United will let Ronaldo go but only as a loan player. Before that, the Portugal international must first extend his contract until 2024. Ronaldo's current contract will expire in June 2023.
The goal of the Red Devils provides that condition so that Ronaldo can participate in playing in the Champions League with MU again in the future. if it manages to finish in the top four of the league. Ronaldo and his agent Jorgen Mendes were surprised to see a loan proposal from United. However, Ronaldo's camp has not rejected it.
United were disappointed by Ronaldo's desire to leave for the second time just one season after returning to Old Trafford. However, Man United cannot continue to prevent the player's desire to leave. By extending Ronaldi's tenure at Old Trafford first, it will please the sponsors.
Ronaldo missed United's pre-season tour in Thailand and Australia due to family reasons. In the midst of that there are rumors about Atletico Madrid's interest in Ronaldo. If he joins the Wanda Metropolitano, it will be very risky because he will be hated by Real Madrid supporters as a city rival that is always hot.
Another report claims Atletico put Antoine Griezman in the transfer market this summer in a bid to raise money to sign Ronaldo.
