Manchester City extended their lead at the top of the table after Alisson made two blunders and Gundogan scored twice in a 4-1 victory at Liverpool.

Both teams were unable to threaten the opponent's goal after the match started, and Liverpool got the first chance after 24 minutes when Sadio Mane headed over from close range.

With 10 minutes before the break, City were awarded a penalty when Fabinho brought down Sterling in the box, however Ilkay Gundogan blazed it over the bar, and City missed a chance to take the lead over Liverpool.

Gundogan made up for his mistake by putting the visitors ahead in the 49th minutes when he took a shot after the Phil Foden's strike saved by Alisson.

Liverpool were awarded a penalty in the 62nd minutes and Mohamed Salah scored a penalty to make Liverpool equalized the score to 1-1.

City went ahead 10 minutes later when Foden  took advantage of Alisson's mistake to set up Gundogan for his second.

Alisson misplaced another pass just three minutes later as his stray pass went straight to Bernardo Silva who set up Sterling before Foden scored a fourth moments later.

Man City defeated Liverpool 4-1 finally, making 14 successive wins in all competition, and Liverpool suffered a third-straight Premier League home defeat as Man City.
