Marco Motta is back in training with the Persija squad
8/23/2021, 14:43 JAKARTA -- The Persija Jakarta squad is getting more complete after Marco Motta has returned to training with the first team ahead of the 2021/2022 season's Liga 1 kick-off. Motta had been absent from several exercises for the team nicknamed the Kemayoran Tigers which had been held since last week.
This was due to Motta returning home to his home country, Italy. After returning to Indonesia, he had to undergo self-quarantine for eight days.
Even though he has just joined, Motta admits that he is ready to play in the inaugural match of League 1 this season. The former Juventus player admitted that he had no significant problems with his physical condition after returning from Italy.
"I'm happy to be back training with the team. Back to where I like," said Motta in a press statement, Friday (20/8). “I am in good condition even though yesterday I returned to Europe. I routinely train independently, following the material given by the coaching team.”
Meanwhile, Persija's physical trainer, Ilham Ralibi, confirmed that Motta's condition was very good. The team of Persijam tactics ensured that they would give Motta regular flying hours.
"I see his condition is good. I'm sure that in the next few days Motta's fitness will return to normal as well as make the Persija squad more ready to face the league, "explained Ilham.
