Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed Mbappe will be out for three weeks, meaning he will not be involved in the Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.  


The French striker is at Parisian away to Montpellier   Was substituted after 21 minutes of the game as he struggled with a thigh injury.


Paris Saint-Germain head coach Christophe Galtier   Initially insisting he was " not too worried " about the Frenchman's injury, the club have confirmed the striker will be out for three weeks.

 

In a statement on the club's website, they wrote: " Following a test, Mbappe injured his left thigh at the level of the biceps femoris. He is expected to remain out of action for three weeks.  

The French giants face Bayern on February 14 in less than two weeks before traveling to Germany for the second leg on March 8 .

He will now miss all three of PSG's games - against Toulouse, Marseille and Monaco - and remains doubtful ahead of their last- 16 tie with Bayern .

Galtier will be hoping for an early return to fitness for his talisman after his impressive scoring campaign for France this year.
