Jorge Sampaoli, 63, has a mixed reputation among Argentine coaches. He has long coached South American professional football clubs and national teams, including Chile, Argentina, Santos, and Atletico Mineiro. Seville was his first stop in Europe.

In July 2016, the Argentine served as the coach of Sevilla for the first time, with a contract of 2 years. However, in May of the following year, he paid for the mandatory termination of the contract and became the new coach of the Argentine team.

In the first season of coaching Sevilla, Sampaoli surrendered 27 wins, 12 draws and 14 losses.

In October 2022, Sampaoli replaced Lopetegui, who had a poor record, and became the coach of Sevilla again. However, five months after taking office, the Argentine was also resigned by Sevilla due to poor coaching performance.

Jose Mendilibar

After Sampaoli's dismissal, Sevilla's new coach was confirmed as the 62-year-old Spanish coach Jose Mendilibar. It is understood that his term will end on June 30.

Mendilibar has taught in Athletic Bilbao, Basconia, Aurrera, Lanzarote, Eibar, Valladolid, Osasuna, Levante, Alaves, and his local coaching experience is quite Rich. His coaching games have reached 524 games, with 165 wins, 138 draws and 221 losses.
