Mourinho Praises Tottenham's Sharpness After Defeating Palace
3/15/2021, 06:33LONDON - Tottenham Hotspur coach Jose Mourinho praised his team's attack when they beat Crystal Palace 4-1 in the Premier League match on Monday (8/3) early morning WIB. Four of Tottenham's goals were scored by Gareth Bale and Harry Kane. which each contributed two goals.
"If the statistics given to me are not wrong, 100 goals so far this season for a team that is said to be defensive, a very negative team, it is not bad," Mourinho told Sky Sports, countering criticism directed at him about Tottenham's game.
This victory made the Lilywhites move up to sixth place in the standings while recording five consecutive wins in all competitions. This result also opened their hopes of finishing in the top four.
"We have very good attacking players and they allowed me to do what I did today. Dele Alli, who played really well against Fulham, left him for Lucas (Moura) this time," he said.
Then Son Heung-min Kane, Bale, and Erik Lamela, were also judged to have played well. He said Tottenham was filled with talented attackers. But in particular Mourinho said Bale has added value than any other player.
