Nottingham Forest sign Lewis O'Brien to D.C. United for three months


Nottingham Forest announced on Monday that their 24-year-old midfielder Lewis O'Brien has been loaned to Washington United .


It is officially confirmed that O'Brien's lease in the MLS will end on July 16, 2023.


Lewis O'Brien was born in the youth training of Huddersfield Town, and was recruited by Nottingham Forest for 9.4 million euros in July last year. In the past 7 months, he has made 17 appearances and scored a goal for the Red Army.


“Will be a great experience”

Forest boss Steve Cooper believes the move to the MLS with O'Brien will be a positive experience. "Lewis deserves to play," he said. "Everyone is aware of his situation. From now until the end of the season, he can get several appearances and it will have a positive impact on him."
