Official: Eintracht Frankfurt extend Jens Grahl's contract until 2026

This Thursday, Eintracht Frankfurt extended the contract with German goalkeeper Jens Grahl until 2026.

Jens Grahl will turn 34 in September and has just one and a half years left on his non-extended contract. The official statement shows that Grahl will hang up his boots at Deutsche Bank Park in 2026, when he will enter the club.

"We are delighted to continue our good and successful cooperation with Jens," said sporting director Markus Krosche. "He's been a huge part of the team, both on and off the pitch, and he's been extremely valuable in terms of the atmosphere."

Grahl is also excited about the renewal. "It's a great recognition and I'm very happy to renew my contract with Eintracht Frankfurt," he said.

"We have a great team and a great goalkeeping team. I feel right at home in Eintracht Frankfurt. As part of the Eagles, I can't wait for the challenges ahead."

Jens Grahl debuted in Fürth in 2007, and played for Hoffenheim, Paderborn and Stuttgart respectively from 2009 to 2021. In July 2021, he joined Frankfurt for 250,000 euros, playing the role of Kevin Trapp's substitute.

So far, Grahl has only played once in total, but Frankfurt lost 0-2 to Union Berlin in the end.
