OFFICIAL: Hodgson returns as Crystal Palace manager
3/21/2023, 09:44Roy Hodgson is back as Crystal Palace boss three days after Vieira's dismissal.
It has also been officially confirmed that Hodgson's term will end in June this year.
Roy Hodgson was born in Croydon on August 9, 1947 and has entered the age of 75 so far. As the oldest Premier League team coach at present, Hodgson has coached in Sweden, Switzerland, England, Italy, Denmark, United Arab Emirates, Norway, Finland and other countries for 45 years. He has also been in charge of Inter Milan, Blackburn Rovers, Fuller Muhammad, Liverpool, West Bromwich Albion and others - including Crystal Palace .
From September 2017 to May 2021, Hodgson will always be the head coach of Crystal Palace. In May 2021, Hodgson ended his four-year coaching with Crystal Palace, setting his results at 54 wins, 36 draws and 72 losses.
"The only goal is to start winning games"
Crystal Palace has recorded 12 consecutive games without a win and is only 3 points above the relegation zone in the standings. In this regard, Hodgson said: "I am honored to be invited back to Crystal Palace-a club that has always meant a lot to me, and has been given the important task of reversing the fortunes of the team. Our only goal now is to start winning games. Get the points we need to secure our place in the Premier League ."
