OFFICIAL: Valencia renews contract with Guillamon until 2026

Following George Marmadashvili, Valencia has reached an agreement with 22-year-old Spanish midfielder Hugo Guillamon to extend his contract until June 30, 2026. Guillamon had only one year left on his contract.

It is reported that Guillamon's contract has a termination clause worth about 80 million euros.

Hugo Guillamon is the main midfielder and comes from the youth training of Valencia United. On February 22, 2020, he made his debut in La Liga as a substitute, but Valencia lost to Real Sociedad 3-0. In the following two years, Guillamon played 76 times for the team, scored 3 goals, and provided 3 assists; since the beginning of this season, he has started 7 games for the Bat Legion, totaling 581 minutes.

After signing with Valencia, Guillamon made a statement on his personal Twitter, vowing to succeed with the club. "Continuing to be part of this great club has always been my priority. I hope this will be the case for many years to come and we can achieve great things together," he said.

Other renewal trends

In addition to Marmadashvili and Guillamon, Valencia's youth training defender, 27-year-old Jose Gaya, has also arrived at the time to renew his contract in advance. His contract with the Bat Legion will expire next summer. However, various signs show that Valencia and Gaya are about to renew their contract, and the contract period is 2+1.
