BANDUNG -- Persik Kediri managed to steal points from Persib Bandung. The scoreless draw ended at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Friday (25/3/2022).

Persik coach, Javier Roca admits that he has no intention of blocking Persib's path to become champions. Because of this result, Persib ended the competition as the runner-up of Liga 1.

"We are grateful for the results of this match, we got one point from a team as big as Persib who are struggling to win the championship. We appreciate all the players and components of the Persib team, because this is a valuable point for the team," said Javier.

Persik can play by dominating attacks and resisting Persib attacks. Even until the last second, the two teams were still buying and selling attacks that made the team managed to penetrate the top ten of the standings.

Javier admits there is no special motivation for this match. Moreover, making his team a winner this season.

"We don't have a goal to influence the results of other matches (Bali United against Persebaya), we only think about getting three points and we are grateful to get one," said Javier.

In their last match, Persik will face the champion, Bali United on Thursday (31/3/2022). Javier also saw an opportunity for Persik to finish in the top ten of the final standings.

"Opportunities are always open, so when we can't win, we are not far from the top ten. For that we evaluate and read so we can get points from the opponent. Opportunities remain open, we will maximize them," said Javier.
